Tourism Guide to Travel India

November 19th, 2009 admin No comments

India – a mysterious country rejects rules and has an aversion to change; India that is a subcontinent with a 5000-year old history. A civilization united by its diversity which has made it a land of great liberties. But don’t be disorientated but the big number of temples that remind you of the spirituality of Indians. The new India they are usually referring to the shiny new offices and businesses parks on the outskirts of the cities. For the tourist India can be overwhelming, and it has certainly become a more stressful place to visit. The best travel place and things to do in IndiaDelhi, IndiaDelhi is the symbol of old India and new . . . even the stones here whisper to our ears of the ages of long ago and the air we breathe is full of the dust and fragrances of the past, as also of the fresh and piercing winds of the present.Bangalore, IndiaBangalore is the capital of Karnataka. With its salubrious climate, tree-lined avenues, trendy, yuppy downtown, and the software flood, Bangalore truly offers one a picture of striking contrasts. There are old beautiful bungalows, parks, hallowed places of worship and traditional market-places on the one hand, balancing with fashionable shopping malls, pubs, new architectural wonders and modern looking religious centers on the other. Check out what you like here and just get going!Goa, IndiaThe churches and convents of Goa, the former capital of the Portuguese Indies – particularly the Church of Bom Jesus, which contains the tomb of St Francis-Xavier – illustrate the evangelization of Asia. These monuments were influential in spreading forms of Manueline, Mannerist and Baroque art in all the countries of Asia where missions were established.Mumbai, IndiaEver since the opening of the Suez Canal in the 1860s, the principal gateway to the Indian subcontinent has been MUMBAI (Bombay), the city Aldous Huxley famously described as “the most appalling . . . of either hemisphere”. Travelers tend to regard time spent here as a rite of passage to be survived rather than savored.Chennai, IndiaChennai is a seaside (and a major port) city where the sea is a rhapsodist blue, hugging the second largest beach in the world. It has many monuments and temples exemplifying the contributions of the Chola and Pallava Dynasties to the ancient Dravidian civilization. Chennai also has the ancient churches and Cathedrals pointing to British heritage of 150 years.Jaipur, IndiaA flamboyant showcase of Rajasthani architecture, the Pink City of JAIPUR has long been established on tourist itineraries as the third corner of India’s “Golden Triangle”, just 300km southwest of Delhi and 200km west of Agra. Though the “Pink City” label applies specifically to the old walled quarter of the state capital, in the northeast of town, exuberant eighteenth- and nineteenth-century palaces are scattered throughout the whole urban area.North Bengal If we have to be poor, we prefer being poor in a place like this. Poverty here is poetic and picturesque, not heart-breaking, nor revolting as in the slums of Bombay or Calcutta. This is about the villages in the Himalayans. And indeed, what can be more romantic than meet the New Year in a cottage in Himalaya Mountains?  Kolkata, IndiaOne of the four great urban centres of India, KOLKATA (CALCUTTA) is to its proud citizens the equal of any city in the country in charm, variety and interest. Like Mumbai and Chennai, it is not ancient, its roots lying in the European expansion of the seventeenth century. The showpiece capital of the British Raj, this was the greatest colonial city of the Orient.Agra, IndiaThe splendour of AGRA – capital of all India under the Moghuls – remains undiminished, from the massive fort to the magnificent Taj Mahal. Along with Delhi, 204km northwest, and Jaipur in Rajasthan, Agra is the third apex of the “Golden Triangle”, India’s most popular tourist itinerary. It fully merits that status; the Taj effortlessly transcends all the frippery and commercialism that surrounds it, and continues to have a fresh and immediate impact on all who see it.Varanasi, IndiaThe great Hindu city of VARANASI, also known as Banaras or Benares, stretches along the crescent of the River Ganges, its waterfront dominated by long flights of stone ghats, where thousands of pilgrims and residents come for their daily ritual ablutions. Known to the devout as Kashi, the Luminous – the City of Light, founded by Shiva – Varanasi is one of the oldest living cities in the world. It has maintained its religious life since the sixth century BC in one continuous tradition, in part by remaining outside the mainstream of political activity and historical development of the subcontinent, and stands at the centre of the Hindu universe, the focus of a religious geography that reaches from the Himalayan cave of Amarnath in Kashmir, to India’s southern tip at Kanyakumari, Puri to the east, and Dwarka to the west.Sikkim, IndiaA place with astounding valleys and spectacular mountains, where you lose mobile connection along with the sense of time. In author’s opinion, if Elves and Hobbits can exist anywhere, it has to be in North Sikkim. Now I know where to look for them  Kerala ZoneCall the GOD’s gift place; remember Columbus and the Spice Islands? – That’s in Kerala! It’s one of the most beautiful smelling cities in India. The language is Malayaam, which sounds like if you rolled your tongue indiscriminately and said “blublub”. The writing constitutes of what looks like a lot of curly ‘m’s and ‘w’s. So nice. Coconuts? Everywhere! Overall? Very fine!

Horses Living In The California Area

November 18th, 2009 admin No comments

Mention sheep in California and some people will give you a bit of a novel look. Those who are unfamiliar with California with the immunity of violet country in the Napa Valley and chief cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego, for example, might wonder exactly where people in California would keep their sheep. Of course, sheep have been reserved in California even into the fresh age, even by usual Californians. Most famously, Californian Ronald Reagan owned pigs and was very fond of free on a torment, whenever he was at home. While the Reagan’s taken the White House, both Ronald and Nancy were the proud owners of Arabian sheep. Ronald Reagan’s pony was a white Arabian steed named El Alamein, gifted to him in 1981 by the Mexican President, Jorge. Nancy’s stallion was a chestnut gelding named Catalina Muzraff. Just as the Reagan’s had their own running farm called, Rancho del Cielo, near Santa Barbara, California, to the north and west of Los Angeles, many Californian’s have running ranches and farms in every alcove and crack of the stately. Likewise, those who do their research will find that cattle in California don’t just live on effective cattle ranches. At many of the disarray’s Pacific Coast beaches, it’s probable to have horseback riding on the seashore. The same is veritable for those who are visiting the kingdom’s redwood forests, the Sierra Mountains and various other areas throughout the majestic. That doesn’t mean that all the pigs in California are only there for the allowance of those who are working on a cattle farm or for tourists, plenty of accepted persons who live in California also own livestock. After all, with a promo in tow, they too can take their mount and ride along the shoreline, on trails in the forests, in assert parks and even in the Sierras. Many others look for pigs in California because, well, like anywhere also, they have an adore of the animal and have the pause to keep one. They know that they are able to take long rides in meadows and pastures. They know that their kids can promote from knowledge to worry for pigs (in truth, one line uses pigs in California to boost the character-regard and promotion abilities of kids and teens who are struggling). Others want to be able to work with pigs and series them for rodeo events and other competitions. In some California counties, stallion racing is a very general sport. Therefore, when it comes to livestock in California, it’s impossible to say that there is only a lone breed that is most regular. For those who are difficult in racing and exercise cattle for the racetrack, Thoroughbreds are a current option. Many want Arabian cattle for their beauty. Paint cattle are usual. And, of course, when it comes to ranch and rodeo sheep in California, the American Quarter Horse is as prevalent and customary as it is in Texas and Nevada. When looking at sheep for selling in California, part of the surety will be made based on why the person import a charger, in the first place. Someone who is planning to work their charger on a ranch is not ready to look for a Thoroughbred or a warmblood mount; they are ready to look at the American Quarter Horse, or perhaps a Pinto or Paint cattle, because those livestock are better suitable to the buyers’ wants. Likewise, superstar who is looking for livestock in California because they plan to train it for dressage are leaving to look for different livestock, than superstar who will be racing or simply riding relaxed. It’s important to have an understanding of steed breeds and what constitutes a vigorous mount when you’re looking at an incline of horses for auction. The train of the mount’s fuzz, teeth, trial and eyesight are important. The pony’s hooves should be firm and healthful. The charger should have a hard muscle assembly and, those who are looking for horses in California know, the legs of the pony should be even and free of bumps and scars that could reveal a previous injury. Because not every injury a pony has sustained will be evidently documented or visible, it’s forever important to have a mare checked out by a veterinarian before making a grip. Despite the way people from across the world may perceive California in their heed’s eye, horses in California are fairly popular and afford their owners with a great way to see some of the state’s gorgeous landscapes. Choosing a mare is a count of understanding the object why you trade a horse, what breed of horse is best for that goal, and focusing on sentence a horse with the right disposition and temperament to form a long lasting relationship – something that’s real whether you are buying horses in California or somewhere elsewhere.

Koh Samui from Pristine Paradise to Popular Destination

November 18th, 2009 admin No comments

Koh Samui is a popular tourist destination and sprawling island paradise. It is known to locals simply as “Samui”, as the word “koh” means “island”. It measures around 25 kilometres at its longest point, and 21 km at its widest. It is surrounded by more or less sixty other islands, which comprise the Ang Thong National Marine Park. It has a population of around 5,000. Koh Samui is located in the Gulf of Thailand, and was probably discovered by fishermen and traders seeking shelter from storms and rough waters. The island first appeared in Chinese maps in the 1500s and was known as “Pulo Cornam”. Koh Samui was first inhabited by Malay and Chinese settlers and the name Samui is believed to be either an extension of “Mui”, one of the local native trees, or a corruption of the Chinese word “saboey” meaning safe haven. The island’s warm tropical climate makes it an ideal home for delicious fruits like the local Lang San, small, round and similar to lychee. The infamous durian, with its intoxicating pungent taste and smell, also flourishes here. The island is also home to more varieties of coconut palm than anywhere else in the world, even with recent infestations of beetles. Sixty years ago, you wouldn’t have thought that Koh Samui would be the bustling vacation spot it is today. There were no cars or roads in the island until the 1940s, and even after a 6-hour night boat ride from Surat Thani in the mainland, you would have to rely on walking as your main means of transport within the island. It was quite a headache to simply transport machinery and equipment as there were no piers, on top of that rough mountainous terrain was especially difficult to manage, preventing the development of infrastructure. You could imagine how, upon finally arriving on the island after hours of travel, you would be greeted by the most pristine waters and virgin, white sand beaches. However with the persistence of the local and national government roads were finally completed in 1970s, at around the same time the first European tourists arrived on the island by boat. Many of these tourists would make Koh Samui their new home, and many of today’s establishments and restaurants reflect this. Koh Samui became somewhat of a hippie haven in 70s and 80s, its laidback atmosphere providing Westerners especially with an escape from their hectic modern lives and the chance to start anew. The real turning point in the island’s history began in the 1990s with the construction of the Koh Samui airport, which was originally serviced exclusively by Bangkok Airways but today is also served by Thai Airways International. For more flights information to Koh Samui, you can visit this website. Also, several ferries including car ferries became more common, a popular route being one from Don Sak to a pier in the Western part of Koh Samui. Regular and private boats can also be easily hired from Surat Thani and Koh Phang-ngan. A public taxi service operates within the island along with songthaews or public passenger pick-up vehicles, the latter being most favoured on the island. Motorbikes and bicycles can also rented out on Koh Samui.

The last twenty years has seen a massive influx of both tourists and migrants to Koh Samui. Resorts, villas, bungalows, and all sorts of accommodations (a list of accommodations in Koh Samui) along with restaurants, pubs, and discos have sprung up all over the island. The island now even has access to a stable, high-speed internet connection. Perhaps Koh Samui is not the pristine and virgin tropical paradise it once was, but it is still a very welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Before travelling to Koh Samui, have a look at this site for Thailand travel advice.

Safe Holiday Vacation Tips

November 16th, 2009 admin No comments

Imagine yourself on the beach, in the mountains, sipping hot chocolate or fresh coffee. The sun is up, the birds are singing, and the clouds are far away. It’s the vacation we all dream of, but how often does such perfection linger, even at the ideal getaway? There are hurricanes, power outages, domestic disasters, monsters … well, maybe not monsters, but you have the idea. The perfect vacation is hard to come by, but making a checklist is a good path to take.First off, where is this secret haven? No matter what season, bad weather is always bound to sneak over those emerald peaks. So, check the weather; it doesn’t take long. As the vacation approaches, keep an eye on weekly weather forecasts, just in case that raincoat needs dusting. Always keep an umbrella handy, though. Car trouble and rain never mix well. That brings us to the second point of concern. When was the last time the car saw a mechanic? Be sure all tune-ups and oil changes are up to date, make sure the windshield wipers work well, and check the tires. Make sure all tires meet the pressure requirements. Blowouts are just as dangerous, if not more so, so don’t overfill the tires.Stock up on cleaning supplies (moist toilettes, etc.) for interior cleanliness, especially if younger family members are tagging along. Hang grocery bags from the glove compartment and/or headrests to keep the floors tidy, and if you don’t have a map light, slide a small flashlight into the door pocket. Keep napkins handy should you need to check the engine, and stow a gallon of water and a quart or two of oil in the trunk. An overheated engine is the worst way to start a vacation.Don’t leave yet, though. Make sure everything at the home base is in order and hazard-free. If you have pets, make sure a friend or relative has time to tend to them or check them into a pet hotel the night before traveling to eliminate last minute delays.Notify the neighbors of your absence. More often than not, they’d be happy to keep an eye out for ill-wishers. If the neighbors cannot or are unwilling to pick up the mail, just have it held at the post office. This not only keeps the mailbox from overflowing, but excess mail, and particularly a pile of daily papers, only serves as a big ‘Rob me!’ sign at the end of your driveway. For that ‘really not gone’ look, purchase an outlet timer for table lamps. This allows you to program lights to turn on and off, giving the impression that someone is still around. However, make sure all other appliances are switched off and unplugged. If you hire a house sitter, make sure to leave a list of emergency contact numbers, including the fire and police department. If a house sitter is not in order, secure and lock all doors and windows, and turn on the alarm system should you have one.So, you’re ready to go, right? Wallet, keys, clothes … check; but wait! Are you just bringing cash and checks? For most things, this is all you need, but major credit cards are always handy for unforeseen emergencies. This payment option also leaves little room for dispute at the hotel counter. If you do bring cash along, make sure it is clipped neatly inside your wallet or stowed away somewhere secure. If your destination is water related, put the bills in a plastic bag, just in case that water proves irresistible. Now you’re ready. Pack up the kids and hit the road; your vacation awaits you. Soon that hot chocolate and romantic sunset will be a reality. You didn’t leave the stove on, did you?

Paraiba!: a Paradise in Brazil – http://www.brazilianpropertyparadise.com

November 16th, 2009 admin No comments

At the north east coast of Brazil, there is a City named João Pessoa, barely unchanged by the time, and untouched by the urban violence. The air is pure, and the waters are clean. This city is considered the last kept secret paradise in Brazil. This city is the greenest city of Brazil, having hundreds of preserved woods. And as a Brazil Real Estate, we will make sure that you will enjoy every single day in this amazing Place!

João Pessoa is one of the oldest cities in Brazil and has had a stormy history. The first Europeans who entered the area were French traders in Brazilwood. Following a war with the French and their indigenous allies, the Tabajara, the city was founded by Portuguese settlers from Pernambuco on August 5, 1585. They named it Nossa Senhora das Neves after the Saint of that day. Initially the city was under Spanish influence, as Spain and Portugal were united in the Iberian Union (1580-1640), and in 1588 the city was even renamed Filipéia de Nossa Senhora das Neves after Philip II of Spain.

The area soon proved perfect for sugar production, with the French, the Dutch and the Portuguese all constantly fighting to control the Paraíba region as a place to grow the lucrative sugarcane. The fortress of Santa Catarina, near João Pessoa, was built by the Portuguese to protect the city from the invading Dutch, who soon became the greatest threat to Portuguese supremacy in Portugal’s Colonial Brazil. From 1634 to 1654 the city was in fact held by the Dutch, who renamed it Frederikstadt, after their stadtholder Frederick Henry, Prince of Orange. The name Nossa Senhora das Neves was restored after the Portuguese reoccupation.

In 1817 the city was once more renamed to Parahyba do Norte. Because of a visit of Emperor Pedro II of Brazil, in 1859, the city acquired the title of “Imperial City”.

On July 26, 1930, during the Brazilian Revolution of 1930, the governor of Paraíba, João Pessoa, was assassinated/executed in Recife by his political adversary João Duarte Dantas. On September 4 of that year, Parahyba’s citizens voted to rename their city in his honor.

João Pessoa has a typical tropical climate, with warm to hot temperatures and high relative humidity all throughout the year. However, these conditions are relieved by a near absence of extreme temperatures and pleasant trade winds blowing from the ocean. Rainfall is heavy at around 1,800 millimetres (71 in) per year, though there is a fairly dry period from about October to January. The wettest months are from April to July when moist southeasterly winds are strongest and are uplifted by the escarpment.

Thinking about getting a TUMMY TUCK OR MINI TUMMY TUCK?? Here you will find the answers, tips, and 100’s of FAQ

November 15th, 2009 admin No comments

TUMMY TUCK CENTER… MORE THAN A 100 FAQ’S ON TUMMY TUCK PROCEDURE, TIPS, GUIDANCE AND MORE…

>> Learn all you can before deciding having your plastic surgery done.

ARTICLE 3 OF A 5 ARTICLES SERIES CONCERNING

41)       What can I do to expedite the healing process of my surgery?

Many surgeons recommend that Tummy Tuck patients begin a program of light exercise after the 5th day following surgery. The motion resulting from this activity will reduce swelling, decrease the possibility of developing blood clots and enhance skin tone. Vigorous exercise, such as lifting heavy objects, etc., should be put off until the surgeon advises otherwise.

42)       When can I resume my normal activities such as housework and work in general?

Mainly, patients should rest – doing only the light domestic chores which are permitted for the first week – then gradually increasing their usual activities and social engagements the following week and the one after that. Although it varies according to their pre-operation physical condition, it’s possible to return to normal life and work after 2-4 weeks.

43)       When can I resume physical activities such as work out?

Sporting activities, such as swimming, yoga, and light sporting activities, can be resumed after 3-4 weeks. As far as the more energetic sporting activities (skiing, tennis, football, basketball, sailing, and underwater fishing), it is better to wait for at least 6 weeks post surgery.

44)       When will I be able to resume my sexual activity (intercourses)?

Sexual intercourse can be resumed after 2 weeks. However, it may depend on the person’s comfort.

45)       What about driving? When can I resume it?

Driving can be resumed after 2 weeks.

46)       What do I need to do to prepare for a tummy tuck?

Follow these helpful pre-surgery tips provided by Cosmetic Harmony to help decrease the risk of Abdominoplasty complications. Taking the necessary steps to properly prepare for surgery is the best way to ensure that you achieve all the benefits from your Tummy Tuck surgery. And, have a smooth Tummy Tuck recovery. Below are important factors to consider prior to Abdominoplasty surgery, including:

Maintaining a well-balanced diet is central to preparing for any type of surgery. Providing your body with the proper nutrients helps to strengthen your immune system, which will result in a faster recovery. Taking a multivitamin may be helpful in some cases, but be sure to discuss this with your doctor first. Some vitamins that are normally good for the body may increase the likelihood of deep scarring or produce an otherwise inhibited healing process. It is important that you avoid vitamin E intake for about two weeks prior to undergoing surgery, as vitamin E can interfere with blood clotting. Under normal circumstances this helps decrease an individual’s likelihood of contracting heart disease, but in the context of surgery it can lead to hemorrhaging. Wheat germ, nuts, and some vegetable oils contain the largest amounts of vitamin E.

Candidates for Abdominoplasty should be as close to their ideal weight as possible before the Tummy Tuck is performed. Obese patients are generally poor candidates for Abdominoplasty as they are at higher risk for complications during the post-surgical healing process. Eat a well-balanced diet and safeguard your health by losing the weight prior to getting a tummy tuck.

Stop Smoking!

Smoking increases the risk of surgical complications, whatever the surgery. Smoking decreases the amount of oxygen that is circulated to your skin cells by constricting your skin’s blood vessels. Less oxygenated skin cells have a slower healing response. If you smoke, your surgeon will probably recommend that you stop smoking at least two weeks before your Tummy Tuck is scheduled. Even then, smokers are at increased risk compared to non-smokers. Nicotine patches or gum should not be used to take the place of cigarettes or cigars as they also are associated with increased complications.

Regular Exercise

Regular exercise is helpful in preparing for Abdominoplasty surgery. By exercising, you increase your metabolic rate and build muscle mass, which helps you to avoid gaining weight during the sedentary Tummy Tuck recovery time. A strong heart promotes a faster immune response – thus speeding up your Abdominoplasty recovery – so be sure to include plenty of aerobic exercise in your fitness regime.

One risk faced by Tummy Tuck patients is the formation of blood clots in the legs. Your doctor will usually recommend that you take gentle walks during your recovery process to decrease the likelihood of experiencing this complication. However, having strong, well-toned leg muscles prior to surgery will help your body combat the formation of blood clots during the initial day or two after surgery, when you are unable to move or will be moving with difficulty.

Another reason to exercise before undergoing Tummy Tuck surgery is that the best Abdominoplasty candidates are within 15 percent of their ideal weight. Abdominoplasty can lead to dramatic improvements to the appearance of people with small, but stubborn, fat deposits and loose, sagging skin around the belly area. It is not, however, necessarily the best choice for seriously overweight patients. Losing a lot of weight after an Abdominoplasty can also undermine Tummy Tuck results, leading to the need for further surgery to reshape the abdominal skin. Those whose weight prevents them from being good candidates for Abdominoplasty may wish to consider the possibility of liposuction instead.

TUMMY TUCK INCISIONS AND SCARS

47)       Does an Abdominoplasty leave obvious scars?

With a full tummy tuck, the horizontal incision is placed along the upper end of the pubic hair and extended toward the love handles or hips. It is important to discuss with the surgeon the design of the preferred underwear in order to make a strategically positioned incision. In most cases it is possible to put the incision in a position which will be covered by the patient’s preferred underwear or swimsuit.

48)       Where the mini Tummy Tuck incision is made?

During a Mini-Abdominoplasty, the plastic surgeon makes an incision that generally spans only the width of the pubic area, similar to a C-section incision. In both procedures, patients with excessive fat in the hips and flanks may have liposuction to contour these areas. However, liposuction is not recommended in the areas of the abdomen that are being stretched because this could cause damage to the blood circulation in those areas, leading to scarring or even skin loss.

49)       Is there a difference in the size of the scars between the mini Tummy Tuck and the full tummy tuck?

The amount of skin excised with the Tummy Tuck determines the length of the scar. For a full tummy tuck, a large amount of skin is removed and the resulting scar is usually from hip to hip. On the other hand, the scar resulting from a mini Tummy Tuck may be one half the size of a full tummy tuck. The size and location of the scar is planned with the patient based on their individual anatomy and desires.

 50)       Will the Tummy Tuck incision leave scars on my abdomen? Will I be able to use a two piece bathing suites without concerning about scars?

During Mini-Abdominoplasty (mini tummy tuck), the plastic surgeon makes an incision that generally spans only the width of the pubic area, and that is similar to a C-section incision. As with most surgical procedures, scars do result from tummy tucks. Typically, surgical scars appear to worsen during the first few months following a Tummy Tuck – this is normal. In some Tummy Tuck cases it may take up to a year before most scars flatten out and lighten in color. While scars never disappear completely, Tummy Tuck scars are placed in areas that will subsequently be covered by clothes, two piece bathing suits, etc. A skilled plastic surgeon makes this incision so that the resulting scar is hidden under a bikini or by undergarments.

51)       Is there anything I can do to reduce scarring or bruising?

For the first or two days after surgery most doctors recommend that you have as much rest as possible. Some patients feel that applying vitamin E or Aloe Vera to the scar may help. If you apply these creams do not rub the scar for about six weeks because you can damage the fragile new tissue. If you have tapes or stitches in place, do not use any cream or lotion unless instructed.

52)       Can I have the scars removed by laser?

The cars can not be removed by laser. The scars will, however, fade with time but do not disappear.

53)       How should I take proper care of cosmetic surgery incisions?

You will have steri strips over the incisions for the first four-to-six weeks after surgery. Once the steri strips come off, our team of doctors recommends Mepiform. It is a silicone sheeting that aids in the healing process of your scars. You will wear the Mepiform for approximately three months.

54)       Would I have drains after surgery?

Drains may be used to evacuate fluid that is produced under the skin; they are generally removed the week after your Tummy Tuck surgery. This allows the skin and superficial tissues to adhere faster to the underlying muscle and fibrous tissue. At Cosmetic Harmony the patients who minimize activity in the week following surgery are frequently able to remove their drains sooner.

55)       Would I have to remove sutures or staples?

Most of the sutures that are used to close the incisions are absorbable and do not require removal, but there is also one long suture that needs to be removed 20 days after surgery. If the patient is flying back home before this date, the doctor will instruct the patient on how to do it at home in one single step. Our physicians do not use staples, so there won’t be any hatch marks. It also may vary in some cases so consult your plastic surgeon.

TUMMY TUCK/ ABDOMINOPLASTY FOR MEN

56)       Can men benefit from Abdominoplasty?

Yes, there are now many men taking advantage of Abdominoplasty for treating a large and protruding stomach or excess fat in the abdomen region.

The following instances are reasons men can significantly benefit from Abdominoplasty. Frequent or dramatic changes in weight can cause the abdominal muscles to weaken, the skin to sag, and stretch marks to appear for men. In many cases, however, simple aging is the primary reason behind the flabby midsection that is the source of frustration and disappointment for many men. As we age, fat redistributes itself to the abdominal area. For many men, exercise alone cannot produce the slim, fit, and youthful looking result they desire.

 57)       How common is Tummy Tuck surgery for men?

58)       Does a male Tummy Tuck differ from a female tummy tuck?

Yes. Because Abdominoplasty is a form of body contouring, a male Tummy Tuck differs from a female Tummy Tuck in that the surgeon is trying to achieve a very different body aesthetic. Further details of the procedure are noted below.

59)       How is the male Tummy Tuck procedure performed?

Abdominoplasty surgery for men is usually an outpatient procedure, performed under general or local anesthesia and sedation. In a traditional male Tummy Tuck procedure, an incision is made in the lower abdomen from hip to hip, and a second incision is made to reposition the navel. The abdominal muscles are tightened and excess skin is removed. The remaining skin is stretched to create a firmer, tighter abdomen.

To determine which type of Tummy Tuck might be most appropriate in your case, consult a surgeon in your area or send pictures to contact@cosmeticharmony.com for a Free Consultation and Quote.

60)       What are the benefits of the Tummy Tuck for Men?

Male Tummy Tuck surgery (or male Abdominoplasty) can improve the appearance of the abdominal region through the removal of excess skin and tightening of the abdominal muscles. For the best results, male Abdominoplasty should be teamed with a balanced diet and regular exercise. A common and highly successful Tummy Tuck surgery can create a tighter and flatter abdominal area for men, as well as provide a boost in confidence and a new, more youthful contour.

People are often shocked when they see how much butter I use and eat in one day.  But I know the real truth; Butter is a good fat and can actually help you to lose weight.

Unfortunately, a person thinking butter is unhealthy is a very common misconception. People still think that butter and saturated fats are the reason for heart disease. It is one of the top killers in this country (and now in many other countries as well). The truth is that it’s not the natural fats that are causing this epidemic, it’s the sugar, processed and packaged foods and overconsumption of refined oils that are causing so much disease (and you can add Diabetes, High Cholesterol and High Blood Pressure to this list as well).

I go into this topic in much greater detail in the Fats Chapter of the Diet Solution Program but here are a few nuggets of info to ponder:

1. Did you know that during the 60 year period from 1910-1970, the proportion of traditional animal fat in the American diet declined from 83% to 62%?

2. During this same time butter consumption plummeted from 18 pounds per person each year to 4 pounds per person each year.

3. During the past 80 years, the consumption of dietary cholesterol intake has increased only one percent.

So where is the problem? Why all the heart disease?

1. During the same period, the average intake of dietary vegetable oils (margarine, shortening, and refined oils) increased by about 400%.

2. During the same period, the consumption of sugar and processed foods increased by about 60%

Those are the facts, but there’s never better proof than the results I see with my clients and my readers. When people finally stop eating margarine, refined oils, “fake” butters, sugar and processed foods made their health sky rockets! (and by sky rockets I mean, gets better, greatly improves, elevates to whole new levels). Not to mention all the body fat they lose off their body (now isn’t that just an awful side effect?)

It’s important to mention that the butter I use is organic and grass fed. It has this beautiful deep yellow color and is not white like most conventional butters. It has gone through minimal processing and has no added growth hormones and antibiotics.

Now that I told you butter is ok to eat, here is a delicious chicken recipe you can enjoy:

(Please remember that the mad scientist in me sometimes forgets to document the exact amounts so you may need to play around with this a bit.)

Chicken with “I’m not afraid of butter” dressing

Ingredients:

2 large chicken breasts (approximately 1 lb of chicken)
6 Tbsp of melted butter
lemon juice from 1/2 large lemon
1/4 cup olive oil
salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste

Directions:

Melt 1 tbsp of butter in a large pan. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Cook chicken breasts in butter covered on a very low heat. Do not let the butter get brown. Pour lemon juice in a separate bowl. Slowly stir in the remaining melted butter as you stir mixture. Then slowly add the olive oil as you stir mixture. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Once the chicken is cooked through, serve on a plate and pour the “dressing mixture” over your cooked chicken breasts.

Don’t be surprised if you are tempted to pour this dressing on your veggies and just about every other food item you can think of. It’s delicious!
